Special Feature: Sunday - Gospel Explosion

On Sunday, October 27th, 2013, The Valley Christian Center Neighborhood Carnival & Fair will be having a Gospel Explosion. There will be many people coming out to participate and perform. To name a few there will be The God Chaser, EM3, Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church and other local choirs and groups. Come out and watch these gifted people perform.

Special Feature: Saturday - Hayride

At the Valley Christian Center Neighborhood Carnival & Fair on Saturday, October 26th, 2013 there will be a FREE Hayride open to everyone. The Hayride will be between the hours of 2pm - 5pm. Make sure you come out and take a hayride around the neighborhood. 

We would like to thank Adam and Lina Faultner of Top CDE (Child Development and Education) for making this hayride possible. 

Top CDE (Child Development and Education) is a company designed to service individuals with disabilities. Although the company name implies that they focus on children, they do much more. The Valley Christian Center Neighborhood Carnival & Fair brought to you by Arizona Sports Camps Fundraisers and Events is an amazing 4 day annual event. The event is filled with Carnival Rides, Games, Food, Vendors, and More. This is fun for the whole family. We have booths for sale and many other ways you can participate in this event. 

The event will be held at the NE Corner of 15th ave & Hadley St. area and will run Thursday, October 24th-27th, 2013. The event is FREE for all to attend and parking is FREE. The rides are affordable.

Phoenix College Football Team Painting VCC

Valley Christian Center would like to thank the Phoenix College Football Team for taking the time earlier this year to paint the building at VCC. It gave a new and refresh look to the center and community. We were grateful to have young, motivated men come out and give back to the community. Thank you again from Valley Christian Center. 1st Annual Toys 4 Tots Cruise Toy Drive

Valley Christian Center would like to thank the Phoenix College Women's Basketball team, Ariztian, Phoeniquera Classic Car Club, The Lowrider Style Car Club, Mr. Jonny and L.I.F.E (Latinos In Full Effect). DJ Skylights, and everyone else that came out to support Valley Christian Center on it's 1st Annual Toys 4 Tots Cruise Toy Drive. The community had a great time and 103 toys were donated. VCC was able to bring some joy to many kids for the holidays. Thank you all again from Valley Christian Center.

SIMS Construction

SIMS (Sound Insulation and Mitigation Services) partnered with Valley Christian Center to bring less distraction from aircraft noise. Construction took place in the center's two buildings. Most of the project was completed in April and May of 2012 and in July the windows and doors were replaced. The noise was reduced by at least five decibels. We are located near downtown Phoenix in an industrial area of the city. Within a 2 mile radius there are: 3 public housing sites, 4 schools, 2 senior housing sites and centers, 1 community college and 3 job centers and 1 day care facility. There are no major grocery stores and the gross income for the area ia $8,500 for a family of 4.

Youth Assistance

Summer 2013

Summer Literacy Program is held yearly for 60+ youth within the center's targeted area. The youth learn: critical thinking, public speaking, problem solving, creative writing and reading, and science exploration. Throughout the year the youth are learning life skills (sewing, cooking, leadership development and health) that will impact their future. Development of the youth is the future of the area.

Food Box Program

Within the last year Valley Christian Center Emergency Food Box program has tripled due to the economic situation of the state unemployment rate. This past year we assisted 2,532 families with food, hygiene, and personal items. Each month 65 new people come to the center asking for assistance.
